So I got the CAIPS notes, and bottom line indicates PPR request sent out on 28th Sept. Well we never recieved it...or they never sent it, one or the other. So We have done as Robsluv suggested, and faxed them the information about not getting it, as well as asked them to kindly reply to us to confrim our fax, and that our address is correct. We also sent an email; request of the same information from my common-law partner, and I as the sponsor also sent one. This has now been a week since doing this....and guess what the answer is??? There is'nt one!!!! They for some unknown reason dont have the decency to even acknowlege or reply to us. Buffalo, has played us for over a year now...and continue to do so. We have met all the critieria and passed everything to date...but no further ahead now then 3 months ago. Our BFD is Dec 24th...just imagine how many people will be working that day!!! Im so fed up with being treated like this...makes me ill. Buffalo needs some major overhaul and if your Application gets transfered out of Buffalo, concider it a Blessing!!!Sigh
Does eCAS say "Decision Made"? If it wasn't Buffalo we're talking about, I'd say "Unbelievable"! But I'd give it another couple of days, and then have your sponsor contact his MP asking them to make an inquiry. Have him stress that you have information via CAIPS that the passport was requested but you didn't get a letter, and that you need to confirm this with Buffalo IMMEDIATELY. Our experience with our MP's staff was that they didn't feel much of a sense of urgency in regards to making an inquiry - so your sponsor should make sure they understand that this is time sensitive and you need to know NOW! If the BF date is Dec 24th, they'll be looking to see whether you submitted the passport, and if not, they could consider your application abandoned. You need answers. I'd almost suggest that you go to Buffalo yourself, ready to present your passport for stamping, if it weren't for the fact that the PPR in the CAIPS could be an error and then you'd be on the other side of the border risking not be allowed re-entry. Besides, without the info about what they want you to bring, etc., it might be a bit awkward to just show up. So see what you can find out through the MP and go from there.
Would you not think that the fax we sent to them would indicate that we have not abandoned anything? Ecas still says "in process" but if you remember they were asking us for 2 things, the PPR request along with a completed SCHED 1 form that was missing for her son. Everything else in the CAIPS indicates satisfied and admissable and complete. Is there anyway to make phone contact to advise of this?
I don't think there's a way for you to phone them - but that's what the MP can do.
you cant phone the buffalo office? we can phone the sydney office and they help you out as much as they can....i find that odd that you cant even phone them up...geez I sure am glad that I am not going through buffalo....that doesnt help you though...I was going to suggest to phone them up...but that doesnt seem possible....our choices for contact are letter, fax, phone and email....
Telephone/ Facsimile Numbers:Mission Tel.: (716) 858-9500
Immigration Tel.: (716) 858-9501
Mission Fax: (716) 852-4340
Immigration Fax: (716) 852-2477

There you go...there is the phone number for Buffalo...you can ohone them from 8am to 4 pm monday to friday, give them your client number and ask away....this is the same process we have, phone the immigration number above. They cant tell you specific things but tell them whats happened - I am sure they will understand, and at least you will get to talk to someone, fax and email etc....need someone to physically try and reply....try this anyhoo :)
I faxed them, emailed them twice, and been very polite and patient, but Ive had it with the kind of treatment they give. The email response I get returned is very (power tripped and rude) when you ask even a simple question. I finally got a response...Im not going to say the words they returned, but what I was requesting is on the way and been re-sent out to us. When I do get PPR request, Im going to drive there....no more excuses, or delays...Im going to take a day off work and hand deliver it and get it over with. Now I just hope I get it before my BFD. I think they send it via donkey...Im an hour away from Buffalo, but mail takes 2-4 weeks....and emails take 28 days. Obviously there is problems with the immigration system. Cry
When you do go over to hand it to them you can get it back that afternoon as long as you on a Tuesday or Thursday. The form letter that comes has the times one it.
You drive really fast - used to take me 2 hours to go from my place to Brampton :) ...and thats if I didn't get lost (I'm really, really bad with directions at times)
Congrats on the PPR

Yeh, I am a fast driver...lol. Well actually I can get there in about 1hr 20min. I confirmed with CIC Mississauga that indeed it was the PPR as well as the Sched 1 we forgot to fill out. So the Sched 1 for her son is on the way from Texas, should be there in a day or two. We already have the passport photos ready. So now its just a matter of getting the actual request letter, and we are off and running.
